    Seating for up to 50 guests.

  • A bar near the food court offers many catering options; an RSA‑licensed staff member is included.

  • Portable Bluetooth PA system provides clear audio for dinner music and dancing.

  • A lit jetty over the private lake offers a lovely dance area with festoon lights.

  • Secure gated parking and a convenient drop-off near dining and ceremony areas.

  • Clean toilet block plus a separate, elegant powder room.

  • On-site bridal party accommodation in a 2-bedroom elevated house with a spacious deck and peaceful garden and fruit-tree views.

    A highlight of our venue is a breathtaking fountain situated within the private lake, surrounded by tranquil bushland—an idyllic setting tailored to make your special day truly unforgettable.

About Us

We are retired professionals who love gardening and rock and roll dancing. We started building The Rose Garden Shangri-La part-time a couple of years ago while still working full-time. Since retiring we have been able to focus on our venue. We hope our rose gardens will bring you as much pleasure as they bring us, particularly now they have been established for about 4 years and are blossoming every season. We look forward to making your wedding day a special occasion in a charming setting.
